Food help!

Hey everyone! My daughter just turned 8 months. (She was born at the end of September) I went to her doctor's appointment yesterday and they said to start weaning her off of bottles and that she should only be having like 18 oz. a day and to give her more solid food. I had no clue I was already supposed to do this. (She's been having like 30 oz. a day probably, maybe 25.) She doesn't like the purees and we have been giving her solids which she LOVES. We mostly just whatever we are eating, but I don't usually eat all 3 meals so I am looking for things that I can give her for them. I'm wondering now what sort of food schedule and what sort of things that I should give her to make up for the bottles.

TLDR: So, what I am asking is, what is your child's food schedule, and what are they eating for meals? (It'd be even more of a plus if it's easy to make!)

Edit: Also, do you give your kids juice? I haven't really given her it but I've heard mixed things. If you do, what type?

First of all I must say that you were given some pretty crappy advice. Your infants nutritional needs first need to be met from either breast milk or formula for the first 12 months of their life. Then you should be switching to their main needs being met from solids and secondary breast milk or formula or milk.

My daughter is 8.5 months and here is her schedule (notice that breast milk is always given prior to any solids so her nutritional needs are met first by the bm, not the solids)

7:30 am- nursing session
8:00 am- offer solids

11:00 am- nursing session
11:30 or 12:00- offer solids

3:00 pm- nursing session
3:30- offer solids (typically some type of snack)
5:00 pm- offer solids

7:00 pm- nursing session

Also at every “offering of solids” I am also offering a sippy cup or regular cup with water. We do not give any juice unless she has been constipated and then it is ¼ juice ¾ water. I also will try whole fruit first such as water melon, musk melon, cantelopes, plums, etc before juice.

Also if your baby is into real solids (whole bananas, etc) you should look into Baby Led Weaning, awesome book and my little girl LOVES it! Skipped purees!

I should also note that this is a tentative schedule as my daughter can nurse on demand whenever she likes, so we often have additional nursing sessions, especially now with the weather getting warmer in Michigan.

Also she drinks about 2-3oz of water per day which has really helped with her bowel movements since starting solids.
